I was experimenting with a wave and it accidentally became a pleasant click, i thought about a cartoon typewriter :-denjoy!.

I was messing around with melodyne and did this recording directly into my macbook mic! it was just to test out a few things but i thought, upload it, what the heck! it might be of use to someone somewhere!.

Computer fx sounds like kid cymbals.

Cartoon-style bomb launch and distant explosion. Doppler shifting whistle starts at centre and pans to extreme right with fadeout. A muted detonation follows at extreme right - a non-realistic and short explosion. Created with ni fm8 running as a vsti inside flstudio 11 with a touch of fl reverb2. The "projectile" whistle is a soft square wave lightly modulated by a sinewave at 6x the frequency of the square wave fundamental to give it a touch of metallic ringing.

I have created this in dune 3 by painting 3 wavetables and morphe it. After that i edited it with filter automation. That was the result.

This siren whistle sound is often used as a comical cartoon sound effect where something is sent flying through the air. The acme siren is a chrome plated whistle that is often found in the percussion section of orchestras. Recorded in my home studio using a rode nt1a through a focusrite liquid saffire preamp and protools 12.
